“You cannot make a mistake.”
Silly comment?
Humor me for a moment: Does a tennis pro, who hits the ball in the net, admonish themselves that they made a mistake or does she/he try to understand which one of the many variables of foot work, swing, timing, etc contributed to the fact that the ball went into the net and not over?

Leadership Coaching
“Which leadership style should you develop?” is a common question. However, I find a more intriguing inquiry to be: How do you show up when things don’t go your way? This applies not only at work but also within your family. Most importantly, how do you lead yourself?
Kenneth H. Blanchard wisely stated that the key to successful leadership lies in influence, not authority.
And here’s a thought-provoking observation from Dee Dee Myers: “I am endlessly fascinated that playing football is considered a training ground for leadership, but raising children isn’t.”
Leadership extends beyond formal roles—it’s about how we navigate challenges, inspire others, and cultivate our own growth.

“If you think you are leading and turn around to see no one following you, then you are just taking a walk.” — John C. Maxwell
I perceive leadership as the ability to influence and inspire both others and oneself. While using force to ‘push’ might yield short-term results, it often creates an environment where the team seeks alternative opportunities. A more sustainable approach is the concept of ‘pull,’ which fosters a more effective team.
Being a good leader is straightforward when things are going well. However, our true attitude shines through when we face pressure.
